1-1 Pilates

Pilates is a great form of exercise to balance the body and mind, focussing on breathing control and activating the core and pelvic floor muscles while completing specific movements.

During pregnancy and post pregnancy, Pilates is a fantastic way of learning how to activate your changing core and pelvic floor muscles to prepare your body for the weight of the growing baby, to help with labour and to help you on your way to recovering your fitness afterwards.

Pilates exercises and concepts are a useful part of any pregnancy or post pregnancy exercise and physiotherapy treatment.

Beginners or those affected by health conditions whether new or more chronic can really benefit from Pilates but from my experience may struggle to follow a group setting class.

That is why a clinically Pilates trained physiotherapist can help you to properly understand the basics, guide you through the concepts and explain thoroughly, teaching you enough so that you can join in a class with confidence and gaining real benefit from Pilates can be a reality.
